Standard Charitable Foundation Awards $6,000 Grant to Maryland Salem Children’s Trust
LaVale, Md. – Standard Charitable Foundation has awarded a $6,000 grant to the Maryland Salem Children’s Trust, Inc. (MSCT), which is a residential organization that provides a home and schooling to youth who cannot live with their families due to circumstances such as abuse, neglect, or delinquency. MSCT strives to educate youth who struggle in a typical education setting and to provide therapy, training, and character development to strengthen families and return youth to less restrictive settings. The grant will be used to replace a 32-year-old boiler in one of their children’s homes, completing a house renovation.
As a community bank who believes in making a difference, Standard Bank keeps money local by deriving its funds and lending to the communities in which it operates–ultimately helping to grow the local economy. To further support their dedication to community growth, the bank also provides financial assistance to local non-profits via the Standard Charitable Foundation (which has awarded nearly $500,000 in local grant funding since its inception in 2011).
