$4,000 Grant to Support Local Business Scholarships with PowerLink

Greensburg, Pa. – The Standard Charitable Foundation, with support from Standard Bank, has awarded a $4,000 grant to PowerLink (Westmoreland County). The mission of Powerlink is to assist second-stage companies in growing their business and taking it to the next level with education and advisory resources. Powerlink has helped more than 1,000 companies since 1992, and they continue to expand their footprint. New to Westmoreland County, PowerLink will be using the $4,000 grant to extend program scholarships to local businesses that qualify.


Access to Advisory Professionals / Boards:

With PowerLink, businesses have access to board and advisory resources that will empower and help grow their business.

  • Each board supports up to 20 second-stage companies and may include up to three Guest Advisors per Board. Professionally facilitated (Executive in Residence), meetings are business topic driven and last about two hours.
  • Five to seven executives matched with one second-stage business and a PowerLink Executive in Residence for 2 years.


What is a “second stage” company?

  • In business at least 2 years
  • At least 1-2 employees or more
  • $250,000 or more in gross annual revenue
  • Intentional about reaching $1M in gross annual revenue and beyond
