$3,000 Grant Awarded to Operation Warm

Delmont, Pa. — The Standard Charitable Foundation, with support from Standard Bank, has awarded a $3,000 grant to the Rotary Club of Delmont Salem for their annual Operation Warm project. Operation Warm provides new winter coats for economically disadvantaged elementary school students enrolled in the Greensburg Salem and Penn-Trafford school districts.

About Operation Warm

Operation Warm provides warmth, confidence, and hope to children in need through the gift of brand new winter coats. They believe a brand new coat is more than a coat. Through serving millions of children in need across North America, Operation Warm supporters have seen that a brand new coat offers a child physical and emotional warmth, confidence to socialize and succeed, and hope of a brighter future.

  • 95¢ of every $1 donated goes directly to our coat program.
  • Operation Warm manufactures their own line of high-quality brand new coats and give them to children in need.
  • 93% of families agree that their brand new coat will help children get to school.
  • 91% of partners agree that children receiving a brand new coat experience improved self esteem.
  • 91% of kids felt happy because someone cared enough to give them a brand new coat.

How you can support Operation Warm

  • If you or your organization is interested in providing Operation Warm coats to kids in your community,  join the Community Heroes Program.
  • Corporations and businesses can get involved with our Employee Volunteer Program. This opportunity provides employee volunteers the chance to visit high-need schools in their community and assist children in picking out Operation Warm coats.
  • Individually donate on Operation Warm’s website. Every $20 you give provides an Operation Warm coat for a child in need within North America.
  • If you work with a school, Head Start program, or nonprofit organization that serves children living in need, you may be able to receive brand new coats through the Operation Warm Wish List.
