At Standard Bank “Customer Appreciation Month” is a May Tradition

Monroeville, PA – Standard Bank (“Standard” or the “Bank”) today announced the launch of its annual “Customer Appreciation Month” celebration for the month of May. Each May Standard offers special events and product offerings to thank customers for their banking relationships.

Louanne C. Hout, Manager of Marketing and Coordinator of Customer Care stated, “We always offer some strong product and service values during Customer Appreciation Month. We also like to inject some fun by adding the element of surprise with gifts and refreshments during customer visits to our community banking offices. Exciting events are planned all month long to make you smile!”

Standard’s Community Banking Offices will also host coloring contests for local children and food drives to benefit the Pittsburgh and Westmoreland County Food Banks. All visitors to the Bank’s Offices are encouraged to bring canned goods to drop in a non-perishable food collection box and to vote for their favorite colored picture.

Gwen Lewton, Community Banking Office Coordinator, commented, “As a community-based bank we run a month long customer focused promotion that shows our appreciation and also generates some excitement. Just by stopping in to visit, customers can register to win a combination TV / DVD player. Each of our banking locations will give one away.” Lewton added, “This month is also the perfect opportunity to Refer a Friend to Standard Bank. We provide financial incentives for both the customer who makes the referral and the friend they refer. It’s our way of saying that we appreciate you!”

Standard Bank will be offering special rates on CD products. There will also be special rates on several loan products as well as no closing costs for selected loans. The May specials also include the opportunity for a free Financial Planning Analysis or a second opinion on your financial plan. Additionally, loan specialists will be conducting special consultations for refinancing and the staff will be demonstrating the ease of ONLine Banking throughout the month.

Standard Bank has offices located in Wilkinsburg, Murrysville, Monroeville, Mt. Pleasant, Scottdale, Ligonier and an office inside Wal-Mart at Summit Ridge Plaza in Mt. Pleasant.

Standard Bank is a state chartered mutual savings bank with seven full-service offices located in Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties and its corporate office in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. Standard Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of Standard Mutual Holding Company, which has not issued any stock and, accordingly, has no common stock traded on any exchange.
