President's Message

In light of the well-publicized “lending crisis,” we want to let you know that Standard Bank never employed the lending practices that are dominating the national headlines. As a result, we are not experiencing the lending problems that many other financial institutions are.

Standard Bank is well capitalized and closely regulated. We believe in practicing sensible underwriting standards and remain committed to making funds available for the needs of the communities and families we serve. As a result, we have consistently had money available to lend to qualified borrowers.

Established in 1913, we recently celebrated our 96th Anniversary, and are committed to Relationship Banking. Our customers have been the Bank’s most important asset for 96 years, and we are committed to upholding that same tradition in the years to come.
